Wenda America, Inc. Naperville, IL, has an opening for a Chemist. Applicants must have a master’s degree in chemistry plus 2 yrs experience in (A) Research & development of new products. Apply the principles of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and analytic chemistry to investigate the properties, composition and structure of new products. Some computational chemistry shall also be used to analyze experimental data and conduct experimental analysis. (1) Communicate with customers to understand what's the requested specification; (2) Communicate with raw material suppliers to figure out what's the best synthesis route; (3) Discuss with sales team to offer exact cost (4) Arrange conference calls with headquarter (China) to coordinate the trial production of new products. Translate all of the above highly complex theoretical knowledge into a concrete and understandable specification before developing a new product. (B) Work on quality control of both company's products and products from new suppliers. Prepare detailed specification for plant to specify the requirement, such as appearance, assay, content of heavy metal, etc. Plan, coordinate, & direct quality control of final products consistent with established standards. One important aspect of the duties is: develop & analyze statistical data & product specifications to determine present standards & establish proposed quality & expectancy of finished products, test samples of finished products to ensure that they meet customer's specification. (C) Provide technical presentations, solve problems encountered at each stage of new product research and development, also provide products application assistance and other technical service required. Present customers with clear specification of their new products. Understand customers' needs, answer customers' question on their regular production. (D) Conduct products specification development; prepare instructions related to chemical aspects of the company's products for manufacturer to follow. Understand and analyze technical sheet and production process provided by customers.
